Talk:Beginner's Guide
From Conquest Wiki
Beginner's Guide exists now
Well, I'm hardly a pro but I took a stab at writing up a guide based on what I noticed from my initial games. Anything that should be moved and referenced elsewhere (I'm thinking specific Operations strategies could be moved to their pages, but some of what I describe may be considered an advanced strategy rather than beginner) can be done of course, or things just deleted or editted for clarity as those more experienced than me see fit. It's also likely that I'm missing strategies for some of the topics I picked, but hopefully others can fill those in. I hope this helps. -Binary 02:18, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
- I reformatted the guide a bit. Major things I noticed that you should try to comply with when writing in the wiki:
- 1.) Don't write in-game elements with capitals.
- 2.) Link to other article only if the word is the same (except number difference) otherwise everything becomes too complicated to keep track of.
- 3.) Only link to another article once – the first time the reference appears.
- 4.) Use "territories" instead of "tiles" or "squares".
- 5.) Don't write two spaces between sentences.
- On another note, what belongs to beginner's and what to expert's guide has not been defined entirely. Of what you've named, in my opinion, patrolling mountains for pods belongs to expert's. Probably a few other things you've mixed in the guide should be seperated or improved, but it will get refined over time. Good job overall. – Rok (talk) 18:20, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
